The market gardens

After conducting research i concluded the following plants can feasibly be grown in my building envelope because of their relatively shallow root depths

root depth

The growing envelope helps people reap the health benefits of being around plants and actively grow vegetables that they could sell in the farmers market. Also it creates the opportunity for community members to engage in gardening specifically for those members who enjoy gardening but do not have a garden themselves.

Tenderlion (tenderloin + dandelion)

These conceptual hanging ornaments were influenced by the butcher who was a key driving factor in my project. I designed them  by using a conventional "Achilles tendon" hung piece of meat as the starting point and creating a wooden frame similar in skeletal build that accommodates growing plants. It can be seen in subsequent visualizations in my portfolio, just like the image to the right
